***NOTICE***NOTICE***NOTICE***

Field will be closed to flying Friday, February 16, 2024                                                           due to Asphalt maintenance!!!

TRAC has now been approved as an FAA Recognized Identification Area (FRIA)
What does this mean? As of September 16, 2023, all UAS over .55 pounds will need to be equipped with a remote ID       device. FRIA status allows for an exemption to this rule while flying at TRAC. Remote ID equipment will not be required if   flying at a FRIA designated site.

November 14, 2021: The membership has voted to increase the annual fees.  On Jan 1, 2022 the fees will change as follows:  Adult dues - $125, Family dues - $185, Adult initiation - $75, Rejoin fee - $35, Under 18 - $35 no initiation.

February 10, 2021:  Check out Jean-Pierre Beland's article in the Feb AMA magazine on building an Aurora.  Click here to view the article.

Do not fly over the orange grove!  Our neighbors who built their homes in the orange grove support our flying, but are concerned about an aircraft hitting one of their children.  Below you can see that a straight out departure to the west or approach from the west on runway 9/27 goes over the grove.  The no fly zones are shown in the aerial view below.
December 2017:  A defense authorization bill contains the requirement that small, unmanned aircraft must be registered with the FAA.  Effective immediately, TRAC members must register their aircraft over .55 lbs and display the registration number if they want to continue to fly at TRAC.
